congratulations to jordan romero! he just became the youngest person to summit aconcagua, a 22,841-foot peak in argentina... he's 11. his father paul romero and step mother karen lundgren are friends of mine and make up the professional adventure racing team sole. they are amazing athletes and the lil guy hasn't fallen far from the tree. they have been guiding jordan on his quest to become the youngest to summit the 8 tallest peaks in the world. 4 down, 4 to go before he's 16 years old...a couple years ago, while this whole thing was still in the planning stages i stayed with them in big bear, california. i was there to be a coach at their adventure racing camps. jordan was a fact machine, rattling off the stats of the tallest peaks, obviously enamored with the prospect of climbing them all. good luck jordan!
