part of my morning ritual includes listening to the NPR news. back in november i was contacted by the NPR's seattle affiliate to do an interview. this tuesday i headed down to their university district radio station to sit down with jeremy richards and chat about my ultra distance racing.yesterday they aired the interview. other than having to bleep me twice, i think it went pretty well.

Good interview. Well done. I like learning more about you and you represent the sport well.
thanks "good ben".
nice job, only 2 beeps is good. Leaving work to go after all that is a bold move. Coming from another Microsoft employee, I'm not sure I am ready (or have the talent) to make that move, but salute you for doing so. I'll have to try to get over to discovery park next time I am out there for work.
thanks travis. it's a big step, but for me it had to be done.
disco park is good for in city running.. but it doesn't compare to cougar or tiger mtn trails.
Right on Matt, ya got some good air time there! Cascade Crest should be awesome, I was hoping to do it this year but will be suffering away at T.R. instead!
Hope the injuries are coming along and that the miles are starting to come together for ya!

Great interview, Matt ... always interesting to hear what a person's motivations are for pushing themselves so hard.
thanks flahute.
Hart, I finally had a couple minutes to sit down and listen to your full interview. It was really well done and I really enjoyed listening to it.
